Leadership and Community
I believe that fostering a sense of community outside the classroom through extra curricular activities has the benefit of creating a positive atmosphere inside the classroom. By involving myself in the school community, I am able to do this by getting to know each of my students individually both inside and outside of the classroom. With this more personal connection, I am able to better differentiate my instruction and provide the best education for my students.

Coaching and Volunteering
Along with my Associate Teacher, I volunteered as the Junior Boys Basketball Coach at Pheobe Gilman Public School, at the International School of Kuala Lumpur I volunteered with their annual Track Meet, and at Alexander Muir Public School along with my Associate Teacher I assisted the yearbook committee.

Phoebe Gliman's Annual Pumpkin Contest
During my Grade 3 Practicum, my class and IÂ created a Captain Underpants themed pumpkin for the Phoebe Gilman Annual Pumpkin Contest and won for best character!

Night of Many Stories
I volunteered in the Italy room for Pheobe Gilman's night of many stories with a few students from my Grade 6 practicum. We brought in food, games, books, information, music, and sports inspired from Italy.

EQAO Scribe
I am volunteering as a scribe for both Grade 3 and 6 EQAO this May at Pheobe Gilman Public School, scribing and assisting students who have accommodations for the EQAO test and helping with their assistive technology.
